Digital Account Executive
WCVB TV, the Hearst owned ABC affiliate in Boston, MA, is seeking a digital account executive immediately. The Digital Account Executive is responsible for selling online advertising advertising to local businesses and ad agencies. In particular, the digital account executive must have the ability to generate new revenue across all digital products including WCVB.com (desktop, mobile web, mobile app, and tablet), Hearst Audience Extension and Weather.com. This individual must be prepared to prospect and close new business, as well as service and maintain existing accounts. The ideal candidate is coachable, thrives in a goal-oriented team environment and has strong interpersonal skills. This role will have you play the part of evangelist, educator and business consultant to our digital clients and put you at the forefront of continued expansion and growth of our digital products. - Generate revenue across all digital platforms platforms
- Prospect, contact and present to new businesses to generate new digital advertising revenue.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales budget
- Sell all digital products, which included, online display advertising, rich media, video pre-roll and mid-roll, native advertising and programmatic advertising
- Regularly meet with digital sales managers to ensure progression and success with stated goals.
- Ensure sales proposals are consistent with station strategies.
- Manage pipeline for maximum efficiency and visibility, with carefully executed follow-up to closure, and forecast accuracy a must.
- Create and deliver sales presentations to multiple points of contact with client/agency personnel.
- 3-5 years of digital sales experience
- Must have strong understanding of the Boston market with strong client and agency relationships
- Must have deep understanding of online advertising
- Have sold online advertising for a online publisher of news and content
- Additional knowledge and experience working in the ad network space is essential
- Experience selling at the local level required
- Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
- Accountability within a goal-structured organization
- Needs a positive, results-oriented attitude and must be a team player
- Proven track record of successfully selling to business owners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products a must.
- Strong formal and interpersonal communication skills.
